What are the responsibilities and job description for the Charge Nurse with Supervision (Faris) position at New Horizon Family Health Services?
- Patient Assessment and Care Team Support
- Supervision
- Evaluates the assigned nursing staff and completes job performance reviews as required.
- Collects information and prepares necessary reports and performance documentation.
- Works with the Practice Manager to maintain appropriate clinical staffing coverage.
- Orders supplies and other resources as required for execution of nursing tasks.
- Works with the NCSSD to coordinate Nursing, Medical Assistant and Patient Care Technician Orientation to promote competency and quality in the discharge of nursing duties.
- Quality
- Implements NHFHS Nursing / Clinical Department policies and procedures.
- Works continually to assure delivery of quality, safe, efficient and competent nursing care.
- Assists in contributing input / information into the nursing personnel budget.
- Contributes suggestions, ideas and information and works with the NCSSD to refine nursing policies and procedures.
- Participates in CQI, other internal committees and special activities that promote improvement of patient flow in the clinical area.

- Maintains good public (working) relations throughout the community
- Assists, as assigned, with special projects involving community partners and the nursing staff

- Must hold all patient Protected Health Information (PHI) other patient personal information and agency information in confidence, in accordance with the attached Employee Confidentiality Statement.
- Actively participate in and comply with all aspects of the NHFHS Corporate Compliance Program, follow the Program Code of Conduct and obey all relevant laws, statutes, regulations and requirements applicable to Medicaid, Medicare and other State and Federal healthcare programs.
- Participates in CQI, other internal committees, special projects/observances or activities that promote improvements in organizational performance and/or advance the mission, goals and objectives of New Horizon Family Health Services.
- Observes schedule for work, lunch and breaks
- Performs other duties as assigned by the NCSSD, Chief Medical Officer and the Chief Executive Officer
- LPN with a valid South Carolina Board of Nursing License and a minimum of 3 years experience preferred.
- Experience to include at least two years of community nursing
- Possess strong leadership abilities in addition to basic (practical) knowledge of nursing
- Must be able to work well with the Practice / Program Manager, Medical Staff, Nursing Service personnel and all other departments within the agency
- Must demonstrate the ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion.
- Must have a working knowledge of computer programs and professional construction of emails
