Duties / Responsibilities :
- Assist in all aspects of the care and education of the children enrolled in his / her class
- Ensure the safety of each child enrolled in the class in all areas of the facility
- Assist with maintaining / updating student feed / activities in the LL communication program (Brightwheel)
- Follow weekly lesson plans and goals outlined by the teacher
- Be a team player. Interact and communicate consistently and positively with peers
- Maintain compliance with all state licensing regulations
- Assist in educating children about fundamental concepts, such as colors, letters, numbers, and shapes
- Engaging in creative methods of learning, such as arts and crafts, supervised play, and storytelling
- Assist in instilling a sense of order and discipline in the classroom
- Supervising free time on the playground and in the classroom at all times
- Ensuring the classroom is a clean, safe, and organized environment.
- Assist with opening and closing duties
- Assist with any classroom / age group when needed
- Assist with food distribution and clean-up
- Engage with children in age-appropriate activities
- Foster a positive and healthy learning environment
- Reporting issues / concerns / incidents to supervisor per LL expectations
