What are the responsibilities and job description for the Traveling Property Inspector position at New Horizon, LLC?
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Inspector to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for traveling to a specific city, and doing the routes provided to them. The ideal candidate will process construction background for identifying what materials the house is made from (exterior walls, roofs, ect. ect). The candidate will be then responsible for taking pictures and uploading them to a secure drop box for further processing. Self-starters are a must. 3 survey's per hour is the what is expected. Many of the survey's require a measuring device, (i.e. iPhone's work wonders). The candidate will also need to be able to visualize the layout of the sketch and record the measurements and draw it out as one of the pictures.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of homes, making sure it reaches insurance company standards.
- Be able to talk to insurance companies in a professional manner.
- Be able to identify construction materials.
- Be able to sketch a diagram of the house, if measurements are required.
- Be able to be efficient & trustworthy.
- Have a phone that can store hundreds of photos per day.
- Knowledge to upload photos into a "dropbox".
- Knowledge on how to run a selfie stick.
- Ability to dress very professionally, (ex. no jeans, shorts, or t-shirts)
- Ability to talk to people very politely, no matter the situation.
Experience
- Proven experience in home inspection or a related field is preferred.
- Strong skills in photography, is preferred.
- Strong professional manners on the job.
- Strong knowledge for electronics.
- A keen eye for noticing issues with houses.
- Strong customer service skills.
