What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supervised Visitation Worker position at New Horizon Youth and Family Services, Inc.?
New Horizon Youth and Family Services is looking to hire two part-time to full-time supervised visitation workers. Position requires at least a high school diploma, and a minimum of 6 months human services experience. A 2 year degree is preferred.
Position requirements:
- Able to work afternoons, evenings and weekends.
- Attendance is essential in this position.
- Must be flexible and willing to do community, home and in center supervised visits.
- Comfortable working with children from ages birth to teens and thier families.
- Ability to communicate with team consisiting of caseworks, attorney's, therapist, ect.
- Maintain a secure and safe environment.
- Implement and enforce program rules and regulations.
- Make corrections as needed to promote healthy parenting skills.
- Monitor and respond correctly and safely to any crisis situation.
- Document family interaction, incidents and any additional reports required.
- Refer clients to other agency services or community services as needed.
- Attend family engagement meetings and/or court as needed.
- Keep work area and family rooms clean and organized.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- Other duties as assigned
