In this role, you will be responsible for protecting the organization’s network and systems by developing, implementing, and maintaining cybersecurity policies, as well as monitoring and responding to potential security threats. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in cybersecurity, an understanding of network security protocols, and a keen eye for identifying vulnerabilities.

In this role, you will be responsible for protecting the organization’s network and systems by developing, implementing, and maintaining cybersecurity policies, as well as monitoring and responding to potential security threats. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in cybersecurity, an understanding of network security protocols, and a keen eye for identifying vulnerabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement cybersecurity policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure the security and integrity of the organization’s information systems.
- Continuously monitor network traffic for unusual activity and potential threats, utilizing security tools such as SIEM, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify weaknesses and areas for improvement.
- Respond to security incidents, providing thorough post-event analysis and recommendations for preventing future occurrences.
- Collaborate with the IT team to ensure secure system configurations, including hardware and software deployments.
- Stay updated with the latest cyber security trends, threats, and technologies to maintain a proactive defense strategy.
- Train staff on security awareness, best practices, and protocols to mitigate internal security risks.
- Perform backup restore testing to ensure data integrity and recovery readiness.
- Manage patch updates and vulnerabilities by regularly applying patches and updates to systems and software.
- Ensure the secure configuration and management of network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and other network devices.
- Provide on-call support for critical security incidents and issues as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Security certification (or equivalent) is required.
- Proven experience as a Cyber Security Administrator, Analyst, or in a similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of network security protocols, security tools, and best practices.
- Familiarity with security tools such as SIEM, firewalls, antivirus software, and intrusion detection systems.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH are highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of IT systems, network infrastructure, and threat management.
- Attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze security incidents and provide solutions.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Occasional on-call support required during critical incidents or emergencies.
