Job Summary
To ensure that all products are coded, properly bagged, sealed, and cased/trayed and/or palletizer.
Summary of Essential Job Functions
- Assist in set-up of line and machine as necessary.
- Accurately conduct and record quality tests on batches and equipment as required.
- Inspect machine for food safety requirements as needed.
- Ensure accurate packaging and coding of product.
- Monitor product to ensure the production of a food safe and quality product.
- Consistently achieve production output standards.
- Visually inspect batches in order to ensure conformance to established standards.
- Communicate production/quality problems immediately to Team Leader/Quality Services for disposition.
- Responsible for run off and re-wrap product.
- Responsible for maintaining good housekeeping in work area and adjoining areas.
- Responsible for always maintaining good safety practices.
- Follow and comply with all safety, work rules and regulations.
- Participate in all required training.
- Assemble shipping containers, box, band, and label finished product.
- Must safely use pallet jacks, dollies, and other equipment.
- Any other duties as assigned.
- Following company product safety, legality, and quality systems.
Physical Demands& Work Environment
- This job requires intermittent periods of continued physical exertion such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, and lifting material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward.
- May be exposed to minor dust and noise levels.
- Must be able to wear personal protective equipment as required.
Specific Responsibilities Relating to Food Safety, Legality and Quality
- Verifies proper packaging, coding, and palletizing.
- Ensures food safety and quality standards have been met.
- Properly reads, comprehends, and completes required forms.
- Reports and takes necessary action to prevent food safety, legality, and quality problems.
- Follows and enforces programs and procedures outlined in the Food Safety and Quality Manual to support compliance with the GFSI Standard and other third-party audits.
Abilities Required
Able to lift 50 pounds. Able to communicate with other employees. Able to follow written and verbal instructions in a timely manner. Excellent communicative and interpersonal skills
