We currently serve over 2,000 quick service restaurants across Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, Michigan and Western Pennsylvania as well as national retail and sandwich makers!

Compensation & Benefits:
Salary Range: $60,000-$70,000 based on experience

This position is responsible for leading development, compliance, training, problem solving, best practice development, and technical support in the area of sanitation. You will direct the work activities of the facility sanitation teams. Ensures the cleanliness of the facility to ensure the plant and grounds are in a food safe and job safe manner to produce product. Adheres to programs and procedures in the Food Safety and Quality Manual. Directly supervises hourly sanitation employees.
Summary Of Essential Job Functions
Organizes the work force according to schedule and assigns sanitation tasks. Coordinates and supervises tasks done by the sanitation team. Verifies satisfactory completion of all sanitation tasks. Coaches, trains, and mentor’s sanitation team members. Ensures the department has the appropriate tools to complete the sanitation tasks. Ensures sanitation team members are working in a safe manner. Advises Plant Manager of any tools or equipment required to ensure effective and efficient sanitation task completion. Reviews the sanitation program, policies and documentation to verify that it encompasses all necessary tasks to maintain the plant and facilities in a food safe manner.
Specific Responsibilities Relating To Food Safety, Legality And Quality
Strong organizational skills. Ability to prioritize tasks based upon manpower and schedule. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to effectively manage people. Strong capacity for analysis and decision making. Ability to work with employees at all levels of the organization. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Pest Applicators License desired.

Specific Responsibilities Relating To Food Safety, Legality And Quality
- Must complete and be competent in all required FSQA, Safety and Job training.
- Must observe and understand all company rules, follow all safety programs, wear proper Personal Equipment (PPE) during the performance of job duties, and work in a safe manner at all times.
- Properly uses cleaning chemicals as specified on manufacturers label
- Properly reads, comprehends, and completes required forms
- Conducts and/or verifies post cleaning evaluations to ensure equipment is ready for production
- Conducts chemical concentration checks
- Orders, inventories and maintains supply levels.
- Validates equipment cleaning procedures
- Verifies and Validates Pest Program
- Helps maintain sanitation logs and reports.
- Participate in and support all third party or customer audits.
- Investigate and sanitation deviations.
- Coordinates with maintenance department to dismantle equipment if it is outside the ability of sanitation team members
- Monitors Clean In Place (CIP) systems to ensure effective operation
- Assist in and creates effective SSOPs.
- Verifies effective cleaning according to program requirements. (ATP, pH, inspections)
- Trains and reviews competencies of sanitation team members
- Alternate member of the Food Safety team.
- Reports and takes necessary action to prevent food safety, legality, and quality problems from occurring
- Follows and enforces programs and procedures outlined in the Food Safety and Quality Manual to support compliance with the chosen GFSI standard and other third-party audits
