What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) position at New Horizons Behavioral Health?
Under general supervision, the candidate will triage patients being seen for care, assist with completing prior authorizations for psychiatric treatment and services, manage messages from patients and effectively communicate needs to their psychiatric team for resolution, monitor crisis patients being sent to crisis stabilization units, and other duties as assigned.
This position serves Muscogee County and the surrounding counties.
Program Name: Medical Services Unit
Works with the following population: Male and female individuals with a mental health diagnosis, developmental disabilities, and addictive diseases.
Minimum Requirements: High school diploma or GED. Must have CMA certification for at least 6 months. Must have 1 year of direct patient care experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with individuals with mental disabilities and/or addictive diseases.
Days & Time: This position will work 40 hours a week. Most programs work Monday through Friday, from 8am to 5pm, with a 1-hour break.
Pay: $38,280 per year
