What are the responsibilities and job description for the Intake Counselor position at New Horizons Behavioral Health?
Under general to limited supervision, performs social services functions at an advanced level to individuals and their families. Performs psychosocial assessments, treatment planning/monitoring and discharge planning. Provides counseling therapy to clients requiring complex intervention. Performs commitment determinations and/or executes orders of involuntary commitments.
Program Name: Medical Services Unit
Works with the following population: Male and female individuals with a mental health diagnosis, developmental disabilities, and addictive diseases.
Minimum Requirements: You MUST have a Master's degree in social work or counseling, and you MUST be license-eligible. If you are already licensed (LAPC, LPC, LMSW, LCSW, LMFT), you MUST be licensed in the state of Georgia.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with individuals with mental disabilities and/or addictive diseases.
Days & Time: This position will work 40 hours a week. Most programs work Monday through Friday, from 8am to 5pm, with a 1-hour break.
Pay: Please see below
- Unlicensed- $45,000 per year
- Associate License- $49,000 per year
- Fully licensed- $53,000 per year
