Duties
- Provide personal care assistance to clients, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Support clients in daily living activities such as meal preparation, medication management, and transportation.
- Assist with mobility and lifting as needed to ensure client safety.
- Foster a supportive environment that respects resident rights and promotes independence.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities that enhance their social skills and overall well-being.
- Document client progress and report any changes in behavior or health status.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement care plans tailored to individual needs.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, ensuring they feel valued and understood.
Experience
- Previous experience in caregiving or direct support roles is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with home community care practices and long-term care settings is beneficial.
- Knowledge of CPR techniques and emergency response procedures is a plus.
- A strong understanding of resident rights and advocacy within the caregiving context is essential.
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate demeanor are crucial for success in this role.
