The Care Advisor is a member of the care team responsible for the day-to-day coordination and administration of duties for the local branch office. Providing continued support to the Human Resources and Employment Development teams; Fielding client calls, schedules and documentation. Demonstrating the agency’s culture of compassion, accountability, and results by displaying the highest standards of integrity, service, and exceptional client satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the Care Management team to deliver an excellent experience at every interaction 

• Receive and process calls from potential clients, care providers, family members, hospital staff and other medical professional staff

• Present a professional appearance and promote positive work environment

• Create, maintain and update client files 

• Serve as a team member and share in an on-call rotation with other members of the care team to service clients

• Coordinate with the Training Specialist and Scheduling staff to assess new hire schedules, abilities and training needs 

• Serve as point of contact for staff, providing assistance and information 

• Comply with all agency policies and procedures, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality

• Provide support for New Horizons offices in all Northern Locations: Albany, Salem, Florence, Eugene, Roseburg Coos Bay, Florence, Lincoln City, Brookings, Warrenton, La Grande, Pendleton, Redmond and Gresham

Qualifications:

• Minimum of two years office experience in a healthcare related field

• Education and/or experience in Healthcare administration

• Self-starter who knows how to identify opportunities with recommended solutions

• Creative problem-solving skills

• Possess strong written, verbal, and presentation skills with diverse populations

• Ability to multi-task and stay calm in a fast paced environment while ensuring attention to detail

• Ability to work as a team player in high stress situations with a positive work ethic

• Strong computer skills in business applications
