Early Intervention Specialist (Family Trainer/Service Coordinator)
Location: Richland County, South Carolina (Must reside in South Carolina to be considered)
Experience: Minimum of 1 year working with children aged 0-6 years

New Horizons Intervention Services is looking for an Early Intervention Specialist (Family Trainer/Service Coordinator) to serve families in the following areas/counties:
Columbia Area, Richland County
Our team is deeply committed to supporting families and children aged birth to six years with developmental delays or disabilities. We are seeking motivated and energetic professionals to join our mission!
Qualifications:
- Required: A Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Elementary Education, Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Family & Consumer Science), plus at least 1 year of experience working with children aged birth to 6 years.
OR
- A Bachelor's degree in any field with 5 years of documented experience working with infants, toddlers, or children aged birth to 5 years with disabilities.
- Preferred: Prior experience as an early interventionist or in teaching, early childhood development, or a related field. Recent or upcoming college graduates with a degree in a related field are encouraged to apply and will receive on-the-job training.
Responsibilities:
- Provide family-centered early intervention services to families with infants and toddlers with developmental delays or disabilities.
- Deliver family training sessions with caregivers and children in home, daycare, or natural environment settings.
- Educate and support families in child development, parenting, and family functioning.
- Develop and implement strategies to support child development.
- Monitor and track the progress of the child and family.

Hybrid model:
- Works from home (telecommutes) to coordinate early intervention services and comply with early intervention duties.
- Travels to the natural environment of the client to conduct essential job functions.
- Must be willing to travel established territory and attend designated meetings as needed.
- Work required while sitting, standing, stooping, or bending.
- Requires occasional lifting to 20 lbs.
- Reliable vehicle (car) and would be able to obtain insurance coverage of 100/300/100 general liability
