What are the responsibilities and job description for the Recovery Support Technician Trainer position at New Horizons of the Treasure Coast Inc.?
- Assists in daily course of treatment for new and existing clients, observation, and referral of clients presenting for services.
- For ASU, CCSU, TGH and SRT units takes direction from Director of Nursing and for Screening, takes direction from Program Manager of Emergency Services.
- Guides and participates in client therapeutic milieu.
- Prepares written documentation and record keeping for assigned clients.
- Transports clients to and from area hospitals for medical clearance, and to other facilities for placement.
- Facilitates Recovery Support Techs continuing education
- Understands the necessity of providing training and support to all RST’s
- Maintains records of all training courses and shares them with Human Resources
- Capable to identify training needs and their implementation
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Certified Behavioral Health Technician or CNA with 2 years’ experience in mental health; ability to facilitate and organize trainings, follow oral and written instructions and have good interpersonal and writing skills. Must have a valid Florida Driver's License with 6 points or less in the last 5 years.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to apply Therapeutic Effective Aggression Management (CPI/CARE) Techniques without limitations.
Job Function requires extended Standing or walking—Standing is to remain on one’s feet in an upright position at various times to assist clients or staff.
Lifting or carrying objects weighing 20-50 pounds
Ability to lift or move objects weighing 51 pounds to 100 pounds with the use of appropriate devices
Must have the ability to effectively communicate in both written and oral form
