Direct Care Staff

Duties and Responsibilities :

• Responsible for assisting service recipients in meeting their goals and promoting personal growth and independence in accordance with state and program regulations, New Horizons policies and procedures, Consumer and Employee handbooks, and applicable accreditation standards.
• Demonstrate support of all outcomes for service recipients supported. (Identity, Autonomy, Affiliation, Attainment, Safeguards, Rights, and Health and Wellness.)
• Ensure personal growth and independence of service recipients through initial development and ongoing support, monitoring, supervision, and training of staff.
• Listen and respond to the needs of service recipients, parent / guardians, area program staff, and agency management staff.
• Develop and maintain relationships with staff and families of service recipients.
• Know, understand, and abide by agency “Mission and Values” and quality of service standards.
• Assure quality and timelines of all documentation in accordance with all state and agency requirements.
• Attend all mandated trainings and maintain all current state and agency training requirements.
• Communicate in a professional and respectful manner with service recipients, staff, employers, parents / guardians, and area program staff.
• Advocate for service recipients in all situations.
• Promote agency growth through quality services.
• Abide by all agency policies and procedures.
• Perform job duties in accordance with agency mission and values.
• Supervision of individuals needs and ability to respond to daily needs.
• Implementation of PCP / ISP and participation in planning meetings.
• Ability to develop and implement service plans.
• Ability to handle financial responsibility, organization skills, maintain confidential records.
• Ability to implement leisure, social and recreational activities and facilitate the individual's participation in community life.
• Other duties as assigned.

Salary : $20,000 - $25,000
