Music Therapist
New Horizons is looking for a Music Therapist to assist adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to reach their individual goals. The Music Therapist uses music in a nurturing and therapeutic environment to develop relationships which will improve communication and expressive skills in support of the individual's wellbeing and ability to interact.
A successful Music Therapist will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster a positive relationship with the individual(s) they support. The Music Therapist will need to utilize critical thinking and organizational skills. In addition, the Music Therapist will need to remain flexible and adaptable to support the individual(s) to reach their goals.
A Music Therapist will make a positive difference in the life of the individual(s) they support.
