Family Staff Direct Support Professional
Direct Support Professionals assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to reach their individual goals. A Direct Support Professional will work with the individual(s) to develop skills, practice independence, and explore opportunities while providing support to the individual.
A successful Direct Support Professional will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster a positive relationship with the individual(s) they support. The Direct Support Professional will need to utilize problem solving, time management, and organizational skills while supporting the individual(s) they support.
Direct Support Professionals make a positive difference in the life of the individual and the community.
Job Qualifications
- Eighteen (18) Years of Age or older
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Valid Driver’s License
- Complete required training including First Aid / CPR certification
