JOB SUMMARY
New Hotel Collection is looking to hire a front desk position at the beautiful and historic Cordova Inn, located in the heart of downtown St Petersburg. They will be responsible for a variety of customer-service and administrative duties including welcoming guests, check-in and check-out processes, managing guest issues related to their stay and reservations, answering the phone, and more.
This role is a customer-facing and therefore candidates must intentionally strive to represent the hotel in a positive light. DUTIES
- Answer phone inquiries, direct calls and provide basic information
- Address complaints and requests with quality customer service skills
- Monitor front desk
- Oversee mail deliveries, packages, and couriers
- Keep inventory of hotel and office supplies
- Perform bookkeeping, reservations, and clerical duties
- Provide upscale guest service experiences for clients throughout their stay
- Ensure clients are properly greeted upon their arrival
- Monitor daily bookings and ensure assigned rooms are prepared prior to check-in
- Perform check-in and check-out procedures, including reservations and cancellations
- Coordinate and manage communication between guests and staff and follow up to ensure we resolve customer concerns
- Liaise with Housekeepers to provide an overall comfortable guest experience
- This includes keeping up with the housekeeping schedule for check-out cleanings and inspection of guest rooms.
- Perform some cleaning duties throughout your shift such as wipe down counters, make sure hallways are cleaned/vacuumed, keep entryways cleaned, make toiletries bags, stock.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
· Reliable transportation to and from work.
· Be extremely reliable and responsible with a great attendance record
· Must be able to work a variable schedule, including evenings and weekends.
· Must possess basic data entry and word processing skills – including the ability to input accurate notes pertaining to guest contact, reservations, and complaints.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
A High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one year or more of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
