What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supply Chain Analyst position at New Hudson Facades LLC?
The Supply Chain Analyst will serve a key role in ensuring the timely delivery of all materials required by NHF in accordance with company quality objectives, project budget and agreed upon schedule. This includes but is not limited to procurement, material management, logistics, project management, and ERP maintenance functions.
Role and Responsibilities
- Participate in pre-construction activities for scope and vendor selection of NHF-engineered buyouts for curtainwall and related elements.
- Review vendor pricing proposals for completeness, identifying gaps and re-negotiating or taking supplemental actions as needed.
- Oversee and report on materials procurement budget, collaborating with Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance. Mitigate margin erosion proactively with project stakeholders if budget deviations occur.
- Develop and maintain tools for clear communication with upstream and downstream departments.
- Maintain scheduling activities for supply chain tasks to align with project timelines.
- Manage ERP import processes to transition engineering demand into the system, ensuring alignment with project requirements.
- Monitor inventory levels versus project demand to prevent surplus while meeting needs.
- Release purchased materials on time as new engineering updates become available.
- Ensure best practices in procurement, maintaining high standards of professionalism throughout buyout processes.
- Negotiate long-term agreements with suppliers for bulk buys, monitoring inventory throughout the project to control surplus.
- Provide production planning with reliable PO delivery dates and sufficient buffer to support the schedule.
- Communicate supply chain issues promptly to support effective contingency planning.
- Lead project meetings and prepare documentation for distribution to the team.
- Foster professional and positive relationships with vendors, upholding objectives of quality, timely delivery, and budget adherence.
- Communicate proactively with vendors on KPI performance expectations.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure their WIP and delivery schedules align with production needs.
- Address and resolve vendor invoicing issues, and manage purchase orders, including due dates, receipt discrepancies, and pricing adjustments as needed.
- Maintain departmental KPIs.

Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge and understanding of core supply chain principles.
- Experience in demand creation within an ERP system.
- Basic fundamentals of project scheduling.
- Ability to work with, manage and document performance related to suppliers.
- Understanding of functions related to procurement and materials management.
- Strong computer skills, including working knowledge of email, MS Office, and similar software.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to travel as required.
- Ability to sit, work, collaborate on a computer as needed for project work.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science or Associates Degree in Engineering and/or Supply Chain Management.
- Purchasing and/or vendor management experience.
- Production planning and/or experience in ERP/MRP environment.
