Duties
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of floors, including sweeping, mopping, buffing, and waxing.
- Conduct carpet cleaning using appropriate equipment and techniques to ensure optimal results.
- Inspect flooring surfaces regularly to identify areas needing repair or special attention.
- Utilize environmental services best practices to maintain a safe and clean working environment.
- Respond promptly to cleaning requests or emergencies as they arise.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment; report any shortages or maintenance needs.
- Follow safety protocols while using cleaning chemicals and operating machinery.
Experience
- Previous experience in custodial services or commercial cleaning is required.
- Familiarity with floor care techniques, including buffing and carpet cleaning methods.
- Knowledge of environmental services practices is a plus.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
