Job Description
An individual formally educated in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a science-based curriculum, and qualified to act as a subject matter expert in Safety Management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement Safety program and objectives to meet regulatory requirements and safety needs of the site.
- Evaluate new and existing programs to assess suitability and the need for changes.
- Lead incident investigations by identifying system causes, defining appropriate corrective and preventative actions to prevent recurrence.
- Monitor injury, illness, and incident related performance within the site.
- Oversee Safety plans, procedures, training, etc. at the site.
Collaboration and Communication:
Foster participation with the Joint Safety Committee and build a strong relationship with the Enterprise EHS team to align the site direction with the overall company EHS Vision and Strategic Deployment Plan.
Other Duties:
Assist in the development and implementation of strategic solutions that will support management's efforts to improve and maintain compliance, advise employees on how to minimize risks and hazards, and ensure information is current, complete, and effectively implemented.
