We are seeking an experienced Process Area Operations Manager to join our team at New-Indy Containerboard. This role is responsible for managing and updating procedures to align with Federal and State regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental management and be able to provide recommendations for wastewater treatment using data analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Familiarity with EPA, IDEM, and local regulations associated with wastewater, hazardous, and solid waste, stormwater, contingency planning, and other applicable programs.
- Ability to interpret and apply state and federal regulations.
- Conduct all required testing within the department.
- Maintain chemical and lab supply inventory for the wastewater plant.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in environmental management, chemistry, or a science-related field from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 3 years of environmental compliance experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of federal, state, and local health and environmental regulations.
- Working knowledge of wastewater treatment chemistry.
- Ability to obtain a Wastewater Class C Operator license.
