POSITION : SECURITY OFFICER
SALARY RANGE : I13 $42,824.17 $59,979.97
LOCATION : PUBLIC SAFETY DEPARTMENT
RESPONSIBILITIES : Under the supervision of a supervisor in a state department, institution, or agency, during an assigned tour of duty, provides assistanceand protection to persons and property in and about state-owned and leased buildings, office grounds, and parking areas; maintains orderly conditions, and takesthe measures required to assure observance of the law; does related work as required . REQUIREMENTS : Availability for shift rotation, (7 days week : 8am - 4pm, 4pm - 12am, or 12am - 8am) holidays and inclement weather assignments and possession of a valid New Jersey Driver’s license is required.. EDUCATION : Graduation from high school or vocational school or possession of an approved high school equivalent certificate.

If you already work for State or local government as of September 1, 2011, and you do not live in New Jersey, you are not required to move to New Jersey. However, if you begin your office, position or employment on September 1, 2011 or later, you must reside in New Jersey. If you do not reside in New Jersey, you have one year after the date you take your office, position or employment to relocate your residence to New Jersey. If you do not do so, you are subject to removal from your office, position or employment."
