JOB SUMMARY :
Under the direction of the Director of Financial Aid and Student Account, the Student Financial Services Coordinator for Outreach will serve as one of the two primary outreach coordinators for Financial Aid and Student Accounts. The ideal candidate is highly motivated and an innovative professional, providing the best customer service and student support experience. The SFS Coordinator will create and deliver financial aid literacy training to perspective and current students, troubleshoot student financial services concerns, and perform regular outreach to students with incomplete application materials.
JOB DUTIES :
- Serve as a First point-of contact via phone, email or face-to-face meetings for financial aid or student account information.
- Assist with the collection of financial aid application processing, tracking documents and reviewing application materials for completeness and accuracy.
- Respond and resolve inquiries received by email, Service Window and Telephone by determining the correct process while always following procedures and keeping documentation. Escalate sensitive or complex issues to the appropriate FAO or SA team member for prompt attention.
- Provide administrative support to FAO or SA staff which consist of but is not limited to making appointments for student with FAO or SA Staff, sending correspondence to students and other entities, copying, and scanning document to the Document Portal.
- Communicate with students, families, and other constituents regarding incomplete or missing financial aid or student account materials.
- Assists student with completing financial aid application in order to receive federal and state funding.
- Assist students with making payment or setting up payment plans.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS :
EDUCATION : Bachelor’s degree required.
