SALARY: The salary range for this position is $50,815.18 to $83,252.20 for Schedule A, and $50,815.18 to $79,089.59 for Schedule B. For newly hired individuals, the starting salary will normally be at the minimum of the salary range. For current Judiciary employees, salary upon promotion or advancement will be an increase of 5% of base salary, not to exceed the maximum of the range, or the minimum salary of the band/level, whichever is greater. Judiciary employees hired prior to June 3, 2014, are considered Schedule A. Newly hired individuals, and Judiciary employees hired on or after June 3, 2014, are considered Schedule B.
REMOTE WORK: The Judiciary currently offers a hybrid work schedule, and this position may qualify for up to 2 days of remote work outside of Judiciary buildings. To participate in this program, in addition to installing a multifactor authentication app on your phone or tablet, you will be required to have high speed home internet access.

The Union Vicinage is seeking an enthusiastic, customer service and detail-oriented individual with excellent written and verbal communication skills to join the Municipal Division. Under the direction of the Municipal Division Manager and the Assistant Division Manager, the selected candidate will be responsible for task-related functions providing valuable assistance throughout the organization. The selected candidate will serve as technical support for system(s) access, track and manage incarcerated municipal defendants, monitor electronic filing systems, and provide technical assistance with virtual hearings.Act as “loss of liberty coordinator” for the division by monitoring appropriate judiciary and jail systems to ensure that any matters that could affect the timely release of an inmate is promptly addressed by municipal courts
Review and monitor weekly compliance live scan reports
Provide technical and system access support to Municipal Division and Municipal Court Judges/staff
Assist Municipal Judges on p-synch; answer questions and troubleshoot as needed
Review court activities for compliance with procedures, laws, court rules or administrative/divisional directives
Act as a liaison and/or establish working relationships with divisions, vicinage, or other outside organizations
Prepare and monitor Guardianship background searches
Schedule POMCA trainings and monitor accreditation/certification of court administrators
Review and monitor case processing systems (ODR, JEDS, Expungement Portal, etc.)
Prepare and analyze statistical reports to ensure the efficient operation and proper case management techniques are used in the municipal courts
Provide support and guidance for remote court operations
Assist with investigations to customer inquiries in a timely manner
Provide on-site technical assistance
Coordinate and schedule meetings and other relevant events
Perform other related duties as required
Regular and predictable physical presence at the worksite is an essential function of this position
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree.
Substitution: Applicants who do not possess the required education may substitute additional paraprofessional and/or professional experience on a year-for-year basis with one year of such experience being equal to 30 semester hour credits. An associate's degree from an accredited college or university and two years of additional paraprofessional and/or professional experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.

Residency Law: In accordance with N.J.S.A. 52:14-7 (L. 2011, Chapter 70), the "New Jersey First Act," all persons newly hired by the Judiciary within one year must establish, and then maintain, principal residence in the State of New Jersey. Any person may request an exemption from that requirement from the Employee Residency Review Committee in the Department of Labor & Workforce Development on the basis of either hardship or employer critical need.
