Key Responsibilities
As a Patient Access Specialist with the New Jersey Imaging Network, you will be responsible for:
- Greeting and registering patients in a friendly and service-oriented manner.
- Obtaining or verifying proper insurance and patient information, collecting signatures, and ensuring accuracy and completion of necessary documentation.
- Collecting and logging all co-pays and fees.
- Answering/transferring incoming phone calls.
- Scheduling, rescheduling, or canceling new or current patients, confirming appointments, and notifying staff of changes when necessary.
- Providing patients with appropriate orientation for preparatory and safety protocols and giving directions to facilities if needed.
- Coordinating with back-office staff for timely and effective care of patients.
To excel in this role, you should have:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills.
