What are the responsibilities and job description for the Radiology Patient Advocate position at New Jersey Imaging Network?
The New Jersey Imaging Network is committed to providing exceptional patient care, and we are seeking a Radiology Patient Advocate to join our team. As a Radiology Patient Advocate, you will be responsible for delivering world-class customer service to our patients.
Your primary responsibility will be to greet and register patients in a friendly and service-oriented manner. You will obtain or verify proper insurance and patient information, collect signatures, and ensure accuracy and completion of necessary documentation. Additionally, you will collect and log all co-pays and fees, answer/transfer incoming phone calls, schedule, reschedule, or cancel new or current patients, confirm appointments, and notify staff of changes when necessary.
You will also give patients appropriate orientation for preparatory and safety protocols, provide directions to facilities if needed, and coordinate with back-office staff for timely and effective care of patients.
To succeed in this role, you must possess strong multitasking and communication skills, experience providing exceptional customer service, and medical terminology knowledge. Recent medical/radiology office experience is preferred.
