Position Summary:
This is a one year appointment, with an annual
review, renewable for up to a maximum of 3 years. A Professor of Practice will
be expected to teach each semester and support the Center for Student
Entrepreneurship activities. The candidate will teach Entrepreneurship courses
at the undergraduate and/or graduate level.
Essential Functions:
- Teach each semester mainly at the undergraduate
level.
- The Professor of Practice is expected to play a full-time pedagogical
and leadership role in the Entrepreneurship discipline in alignment with the
Center for Student Entrepreneurship, which resides in the Martin Tuchman School
of Management and serves NJIT.
- This role includes active participation in
course and program development and close interaction with students and student
activities.
Prerequisite Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Entrepreneurship or related
area and 10 years of industry experience.
- Prior teaching experience at the
University level. Expertise in curriculum development, ability to teach
undergraduate or graduate three-credit hour courses in entrepreneurship.
- At the
university's discretion, the education and experience prerequisites may be
exempted where the candidate can demonstrate to the satisfaction of the
university, an equivalent combination of education and experience specifically
preparing the candidate for success in the position.
