What are the responsibilities and job description for the Usher position at New Jersey Performing Arts Center?
Performance-based Ushers are needed for NJPAC 2024-2025 Season (weekly hours worked vary between 4 and 24).
Ushers will be scheduled according to availability, skill set and performance calendar. This position is a Union job.
Responsibilities
Must be friendly, polite and enthusiastic.
Assist Head Usher with special requests as needed.
Assist patrons by scanning tickets, greeting and escorting patrons to their seats, distributing programs, and attending to guests with special needs
Qualifications And Special Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Daytime availability/Weekend availability required
Experience in guest/customer service or hotel/hospitality industry
Ability to anticipate and fulfill the needs and concerns of guests.
Possess a sensitive, friendly, engaging personality, and polished demeanor.
Must be able to stand for long periods of time
