New Jersey Resources is seeking a Financial Analysis Summer Intern to support the Finance and Treasury team in the financial, accounting and tax analyses of multiple projects.

What you will do:

Bring your enthusiasm and drive and you’ll learn from some of the top talent in the energy industry. You’ll have hands-on experience with your team and the support of our human resources team through this 10-week program. Growing both professionally and personally throughout the program could lead to future post-grad opportunities.

• Support the team in the design and build of financial models for project valuation and strategic decision making.
• Assist in the development of presentations to be presented to the executive management team.
• Support the team to gather, update and maintain market data information.
• Compile and prepare technical, statistical and/or analytical data, reports and presentations as needed.
• Perform research and analysis on the different green energy technologies available in the market.
• Assist senior analyst on various projects as required.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Currently enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business administration, engineering, or related field.
• Must have skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Knowledge of Power BI would be a plus.
• Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to think logically and present complex data and ideas creatively and coherently.
• Resourceful and self-motivated.
• Interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with multiple business units on a team-oriented. approach.
• Valid New Jersey State drivers’ license
• Ability to work hybrid/onsite in the corporate office in Wall, NJ
• Available to work full time (40 hours per week) during defined intern program dates (June-August)
