What are the responsibilities and job description for the Equipment Technician I position at New Jersey Respiratory, Inc?
NJRA relies on equipment technicians to facilitate a seamless clinical experience for our patients. Whether we are setting up rooms to prepare for admissions, providing education, or performing preventative maintenance, our technicians play a vital role in providing patients what they need to recover.
Duties:
- Perform equipment & supply setups, specifically for individuals requiring BiPAP/CPAP, tracheostomy care, and supplemental oxygen
- Safely handle and deliver equipment for needed set ups
- Complete necessary paperwork for deliveries and returns
- Professionally represent the company in communicating accordingly with nurses and patients as needed
- Maintain company vehicle in clean and orderly manner per company standards
- Follow company process to clean and stock all returned purchased/rental equipment/supplies
- Support yearend inventory audit
- Participate in the weekly and weekend on-call rotations
- Other duties assigned as needed
Requirements:
- Possess a valid and current driver’s license and auto insurance.
- Strong communication skills that let you converse comfortably with patients, nursing, and administration.
- Prior professional driving experience
· Basic computer skills
Would like to see:
· Prior experience in the medical equipment set up atmosphere
· Microsoft Office experience
Physical Requirements:
· Ability to drive long distances for extended periods of time
· Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
Locations
· NJRA services the entire state of New Jersey as well as parts of Pennsylvania, New York and Maryland.
