What are the responsibilities and job description for the Social Media Manager/Graphic Designer position at New Jersey State Bar Foundation?
Serves as the New Jersey State Bar Foundation’s social media manager and graphic design specialist. Creates original digital and print content, manages the Foundation’s social media accounts, monitors and reports on KPIs.
Essential Functions / Role and Responsibilities:
- Works with Directors of Creative Content & Marketing to implement social media strategy.
- Creates all social media graphics (approximately 30 to 40 per month) and corresponding graphics for the NJSBF website, banner ads, etc.
- Implements and maintains a the Foundation’s style guide
- Manages day-to-day operations of the Foundation’s social media (scheduling, monitoring responses to posts, monitoring hashtags, as well as engaging with outside posts (like/share)
- Attends Foundation program events, taking photos to produce live social media content
- Assists Director of Creative Content in developing content for social media, including researching relevant filler campaigns.
- Assists Director of Marketing in creating digital and print content for Foundation programs and events
- Works on additional design projects, as needed, creating booklets, flyers, invitations, brochures, postcards, marketing materials, etc.
- Evaluates, recommends and implements new features, software and technologies to enhance Foundation social media presence.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
- Experience implementing digital communication strategies and campaigns using tools such as Buffer across social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn and X)
- Possess a high level of competency with Adobe InDesign and Photoshop, Canva, Illustrator and other graphic design tools to create effective web and social media graphics
- Proficient in Microsoft 365
- Strong copywriting skills
- Detail oriented with excellent project and time management skills
Minimum Qualifications / Education Requirements:
- 5 years experience in graphic design
- 2 years experience in social media management
- Bachelor’s Degree
NOTE:
- On-site work in New Brunswick, New Jersey is required (no relocation available)
- 1-2 days work from home after a trial period is possible (business needs permitting)
