What are the responsibilities and job description for the School Bus Driver position at New Jersey - STOA?

As a School Bus Driver for Student Transportation Inc., you will be operating a school bus or van to designated bus routes to transport school aged passengers to their destination. In addition, a School Bus Driver may transport various clients for charter trips.
Reports To: Terminal Manager
Schedule: Monday-Friday
Shift Type: 5:30am-9:45am and 1:30pm-5:00pm
Pay Rate: Class B with endorsements (General Knowledge, Air Brakes, School Bus, and Passenger) $30
Training Rate: $15.65
Responsibilities:
- Drive a school bus route - picking up and dropping off student passengers at established stops on the route
- Conduct Pre-Trip vehicle inspections to ensure safe operation
- Conduct post-trip vehicle inspections
- Attend and participate in safety meetings
- Clean bus as necessary to maintain a professional appearance and positive company image
- As requested or desired to take field trip, activity and charter runs to transport students and other passengers to and from their destinations
Requirements:
- Must be over the age of 21 years old
- Must be able to pass a DOT physical examination
- Must have a minimum of 3 years verifiable driving history
- No more than 2 moving violations and 1 preventable accident in the past 3 years
- Must be committed to training and processes
- CDL permit or license is a plus!
- Ability to adhere to all company safety standards and operating procedures
- Passion for working with children

- Must be willing to obtain a Class B CDL and/or with school bus and passenger endorsement
