Youth Care Worker
Job Summary:
New Life Adolescents is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Youth Care Worker to join our team. The Youth Care Worker will be responsible for providing supervision, guidance, and support to young people in a residential or community-based setting. This role involves building positive relationships with youth, implementing structured activities, and ensuring the safety and well-being of all residents.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and supervision to youth in a residential setting.
- Develop and implement Individualized Service Plans for each resident.
- Facilitate group activities, outings, and recreational events
- Collaborate with other staff members and external agencies to meet the needs of residents.
- Serve as a positive role model and mentor for youth in care
- Maintain a safe and supportive environment for all youth.
- Administer medication to youth according to prescribed schedules and document all medication distribution per regulatory guidelines.
- Ensure proper storage, handling, and record-keeping of all medications.
- Monitor and document resident behavior and progress.
- Respond effectively to crisis situations and follow established protocols.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field preferred.
- High School Diploma required.
- Previous experience working with youth in a residential or community-based setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- PA Criminal, Child Abuse and FBI clearances
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
- Must be 21 years or older
