Summary
Reporting to the Advancement Director, the Marketing Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting New Life Center's marketing and fundraising initiatives. This position is perfect for a creative, organized individual with a strong attention to detail and excellent collaboration skills. The coordinator will be instrumental in planning, managing, and executing events and projects that engage the community with our mission. Additionally, the role provides essential project management support across various tasks. Essential qualifications include experience in event planning and marketing, a passion for creating impactful, community-driven experiences, and a heart for sharing the love of Jesus while advancing the Mission’s goals.
Essential Responsibilities
Essential Function 1: Event Planning and Management
- Coordinate all aspects of Mission-related events, including logistics, budgets, timelines, and vendor management (negotiate contracts for space, food, supplies, event production, etc.)
- Work closely with the Advancement Director and other key stakeholders to ensure events align with the Mission's values, goals, and objectives.
- Collaborate with the Creative Manager to ensure successful marketing and communication strategies are in place for successful event execution.
- Facilitate post-event evaluations to assess effectiveness and gather feedback.
- Maintain accurate records of event budgets, attendance, and feedback.
Essential Function 2: Marketing and Communications Support
- Collaboratively support the Creative Manager and Advancement Director by assisting with content creation, editing, formatting, spell-checking, and proofreading materials.
- Assist with the implementation of marketing strategies to enhance engagement and promote events.
- Ensure all content aligns with the organization's brand voice, objectives, and guidelines.
- Manage Google Business accounts by responding to reviews and monitoring feedback.
- Provide project management support to ensure all marketing and communication efforts meet deadlines and stay on track.
- Manage and respond to general inbox inquiries and requests promptly.
Essential Function 3: Community Engagement and Other
- Build and maintain relationships with community partners, sponsors, and volunteers.
- Serve as a representative of New Life Center at events and community gatherings, promoting awareness and support for the organization.
- Help manage in-kind donation needs and requests, ensuring timely fulfillment and promoting specific Mission needs.
- Assist with other tasks as needed to support the overall mission.
Position Reports to Andrea Feigum, Advancement Director
Andrea Feigum leads New Life Center's fundraising, marketing, and community engagement efforts. Andrea has more than 15 years of experience working in marketing, public relations, and corporate communications. After spending some time in nursing, she transitioned to marketing and never looked back. Andrea joined New Life Center in 2021. Before that, she worked at Dakota Medical Foundation.

Required Education and Experience
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field.
- At least 1 year of related professional and event management experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of event coordination and marketing principles, strategies, and tactics.
- Capability to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Experience with photography, videography, or Adobe Creative Cloud, and other design software applications.
Additional Eligibility Requirements
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.
- Valid driver’s license and car insurance.
