Clinical Psychologist (Full-Time or Part-Time) - New Life Counseling & Coaching
Location: Ankeny, Iowa

New Life Counseling, a well-established, faith-based private clinic that has served the Des Moines area for over 20 years, is expanding its team of dedicated therapists in our Ankeny location. We are seeking compassionate, skilled, and professionally trained therapists to join our team, with opportunities for both full-time and part-time positions. Our clinical staff includes experienced mental health therapists, a certified nutritionist, and a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner. We also support the growth of student therapists and interns through our training program.

Job Responsibilities
- Provide psychological services in-person and/or via telehealth, based on client needs and provider availability
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management (if licensed), and interventional treatments as appropriate
- Perform client assessments and deliver care consistent with professional standards, including evaluation, treatment planning, referrals, and thorough documentation
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team—including therapists and registered dietitians—for holistic, coordinated care
- Provide consultation and support on cases involving nutritional components
- Engage and educate family members or support persons in the treatment process when clinically appropriate
- Assist with psychological testing and evaluations related to autism, ADHD, and other mental health concerns
- Attend and participate in scheduled team meetings, training sessions, and case consultations
- Offer faith-integrated services when requested by the client and aligned with provider comfort level
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation within our secure electronic medical record (EMR) system
Requirements
- Education: Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in psychology from a program accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA) or approved by the Iowa Board of Psychology
- Licensure: Active Iowa Licensure as a Psychologist through the Iowa Board of Psychology
