About the role :
The Flint Valley Service Delivery team consists of 4 teams : Retreats, Activities, Food Service, and Maintenance. Each of these teams work to provide consistent service so that all campers and guests can have an experience at New Life Ranch that allows them the opportunity to grow in their relationship with Christ. As a SERVE Team member you will work within many of these departments, based on the needs of our guests and staff. This will provide a unique opportunity to see many different sides of camp and to interact with a lot of different staff and guests. Some of the main areas you will work in will be : Housekeeping, Activities, Food Service, Maintenance, and Grounds.
Your Responsibilities :
- Help run and facilitate activities for groups, including but not limited to life-guarding, target sports, & high ropes.
- Assist with meal preparation, service and cleanup.
- Open, run, restock, and close the canteen for groups as needed.
- Help with regular cleaning of cabins of motels, cabins, and meeting spaces in preparation for guests.
- Assist in maintaining grounds and facilities around camp.
- Work as a barista in the camp coffee shop, Camp Grounds.
- Co-host retreats. Hosting includes, but is not limited to, group orientations, being on call to take care of group needs when they arise, and behind the scenes set up (fires, chairs, etc.).
You Are :
This is a seasonal contract position that runs from August - May, for those seeking a gap year or post grad seasonal position. $950 a month, plus support raising, and requires on site housing with other young seasonal employees.
