About the role:
We are looking for staff that are interested in helping accomplish the mission of New Life Ranch through serving our guests by helping to create a clean and comfortable place for them to stay. Staff in this role will assist in cleaning the buildings (cabins, meeting spaces, and motel units) in preparation for retreat guests as well as assisting in managing Lost and Found. We have part-time hours available on weekdays, evenings, and weekends.
Responsibilities:
1. Assist in the cleaning of buildings (cabins, meeting spaces, motels, public restrooms) in preparation for retreat guests.
2. Assist in cleaning and organizing all housekeeping closets around camp.
3. Assist in managing Lost and Found and coordinate with Hospitality Manager in getting items returned to guests.
4. Assist the Hospitality Manager with supplies, including restocking and maintaining cleaning caddies.
5. Keeping up with laundry throughout camp including towels, linens, cleaning rags, etc. and making sure that all housekeeping closets are fully stocked.
6. Emptying and replacing outdoor trash cans when needed.
7. Prepare cabins, motel units, and meeting spaces for retreats.
8. Ensure motel units are an inviting and comfortable environment. This includes well stocked coffee supplies, dishes, and bedding.
9. Assist in projects and respond to calls related to housekeeping during your shift.
You must be able to:
1. Work on your feet for long periods of times.
2. Squat or kneel to clean toilets, showers, baseboards, etc.
3. Stomach cleaning up bodily fluids. We will be cleaning toilets and showers a lot, and accidents happen.
4. On occasion work a night or weekend shift.
