What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinary Technician position at New Life Veterinary Hospital?
The veterinary technicians at New Life Veterinary Hospital are an integral part of our medical team. Our technicians are the heart of our practice. We empower them to learn, perform and take ownership of their responsibilities. We are a busy small animal privately owned general practice that are proud to provide a great experience for both the clients and the patients.
Outpatient, inpatient, and surgery responsibilities that are included but are not limited to:
- Comfortable speaking with clients: taking histories, educating and advocating for their pets.
- Ability and willingness to have phone conversations, make appointments and advise clients to be seen as needed.
- Work with computers.
- Ability to interpret basic laboratory diagnostics; fecal, urine, ear cytology, heartworm test.
- Proficient in venipuncture.
- Place intravenous/urinary catheter.
- Induce and monitor anesthesia and recover patients.
- Administer medications and vaccines as directed by the veterinarians.
- Willingness to learn and adapt.
- CPR knowledge/abilities.

Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
