Build lasting relationships
- Maintain market awareness to be able to offer insight and expert guidance to stakeholders.
- Develop highly collaborative partnerships with senior stakeholders for Hays services including both internal stakeholders, client sponsors and external partners

Develop and evolve the Strategic Clients portfolio
- Accountable for business development and existing client retention and expansion.
- Leads the sales process shaping and promoting expanded business opportunities

- Responsible for identification of opportunities for expansion of services
Prospecting and Engagement
- Accountable for the design and delivery of a sales strategy for the region to identify, connect and engage with prospects within a defined target market to identify and create RPO opportunities
- Compile update and manage a dynamic list of targets clients
- Prospect and network at Board, Senior Executive and Director level within nominated target clients
- Manage a programme of engagement activities including business breakfast, seminars, and workshops to further engagement with prospects
- Identify, develop, and qualify sales opportunities
- Identify and build relationships with organisations, consultants, trade bodies etc to influence, promote Hays and generate sales leads
Opportunity management
Accountable for managing major sales opportunities from identification to contract signature. This includes liaison and co-ordination of all Hays regional and functional stakeholders including operations, finance, and legal departments
- Design and development of the Sales proposition
- Development of the business case / benefits including financial model, dependencies, sensitivities, and risks
- Presenting compelling Hays propositions
- Project managing proposal submissions
- Drafting and submitting formal proposals or responses to RFP/tender requests including writing Executive Summaries or full responses to tender requests as required
- Negotiation of commercial and legal terms in partnership with legal and finance teams
- Working with senior Hays stakeholders to ensure leadership, finance, legal and operational support and sign off for the sales proposition
- Closing business to agreed plan and with authorised terms
- Maintain and keep accurate a prospect plan, pipeline, and sales forecast for the Regional and Functional Management Board
Sales methodology
- Accountable for ongoing application of the Challenger sales methodology across sales, solutions and bids
- Responsible for identifying ways to evolve our sales methodology – constantly looking for external enhancements to bring into Hays
Bid Management
- Accountable for ensuring that Hays proposals are tailored to the customer, support the improvement of customer outcomes and provide compelling reasons to progress Hays in any sales opportunity
- To ensure the development of our written response and content and ensure appropriate input from all relevant areas of Hays
- To create an ongoing programme that ensures the development of thought-leading insight and knowledge to think tank/workshop programmes and generate content for both on and offline formats
- Accountable for ensuring that all proposals are reviewed by the relevant sales/solutions lead prior to submission

Whilst ability, motivation and attitude are most important, it would be a distinct advantage to have:
The successful candidate will be a driven, energetic, and high performing Sales professional currently within recruitment or similar services / solutions provider. They will have a proven track record of sales over achievement and can demonstrate that Sales success resulted in long term, profitable and successful service delivery / fulfilment.
