New London Local Schools is seeking a highly organized and experienced Transportation Supervisor to lead our multi-district transportation services. This critical leadership role ensures safe, efficient, and state-compliant transportation for students and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and manage all district bus routes and schedules.
Oversee vehicle maintenance and replacement cycles for the district and for partner districts.
Recruit, hire, train, and schedule drivers for daily and special event transportation.
Ensure compliance with ODOT and ODEW regulations, including all training and licensing requirements.
Prepare and submit the district’s T-1 and T-2 reports in accordance with state guidelines.
Manage trip hours, payroll data, and department budgets.
Recruit, supervise and evaluate mechanics
Respond to transportation emergencies and serve as the department’s primary contact for staff, families, and district leadership.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s/Bachelor’s degree preferred).
At least three years of experience in school transportation with supervisory responsibilities preferred.
Valid Ohio CDL Class B with passenger and school bus endorsements.
Proficiency in routing software and experience with ODEW transportation reporting (T-1 and T-2).
Excellent leadership, scheduling, and communication skills.
