What are the responsibilities and job description for the Gatekeeper position at New Madrid County Family Resource Center?
- Greet customers entering establishment, determine nature and purpose of visit, and direct visitor to specific destination, and/or answer questions and provide information.
- Provide information to the public regarding events, classes, workshops, and other programs.
- Ensure all visitors sign in and fill out intake forms, compile numbers at the end of each month and submit report.
- Review intake form and direct customer to needed resources.
- Assist customers with job search which includes registering on job websites, preparing resumes and cover letters and searching newspapers.
- Answer the telephone and forward to proper extension.
- Collects and distributes messages for employees of the organization.
- Be in charge of the resource center, watch computer lab and enforce 2-hour time limit and age limit, customers must sign in and out.
- Assist customers with applications available at the front desk.
- Learn the basic information of the NMCHRCCP.
- Become familiar with each program’s goal located in the FRC and other organizations throughout New Madrid County.
- Make copies and/or fax information for customers.
- Distribute incoming mail and make sure outgoing mail is sent.
- Oversee customer satisfaction surveys.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Education:
- High school or equivalent (Required)
Experience:
- receptionist: 1 year (Required)
