Rehab Tech/Aide

Job Summary
The Rehabilitation Aide plays a vital role in supporting the rehabilitation team in delivering high-quality care to patients recovering from injuries or surgeries. This position involves assisting therapists with various tasks, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for patients, and contributing to the overall efficiency of the rehabilitation process. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a compassionate demeanor, and a commitment to patient care.

Duties

• Assist physical therapists during therapy sessions by preparing equipment and materials.
• Help non-medicare patients with exercises and mobility tasks under the supervision of licensed therapists.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of therapy areas, ensuring all equipment is sanitized and ready for use.
• Monitor patient progress and report any concerns or changes to the supervising therapist.
• Schedule appointments and manage patient records as needed.
• Provide support to patients by offering encouragement and motivation throughout their rehabilitation journey.
• Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, checking in, scheduling and answering phone calls.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in healthcare or related fields is a plus.
• Previous experience in a healthcare setting or knowledge of rehabilitation practices is preferred but not required.
• Understanding of medical terminology is required.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members.
• Ability to follow instructions accurately while demonstrating attention to detail.
• Physical stamina to assist patients with mobility and perform light lifting tasks as necessary.
• Basic computer skills for managing patient records and scheduling appointments.
• A compassionate attitude towards helping others recover from injuries or surgeries.

Schedule & Availability

• Part-time position with flexible hours (10–30 hours per week)
• Work schedule varies based on clinic needs, including potential morning, mid-day, and evening shifts ranging from 7am to 7pm.

Pay: $15.70 - $17.00 per hour
