Position Summary:
Reporting to the Sportsbook Manger – Operations, the Lead Supervisor is responsible for the floor operations of the Sportsbook during assigned shift including but not limited to approving or denying wagers from customers, till assignment for cashiers, and ensuring compliance with gaming and company regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervises the Sportsbook floor, including but not limited to: cashier location assignments, supervisor assignments, customer service staff supervisors and assisting the Managers/MOD as needed.
Monitors all monies being wagered.
Approves and denies sports wagers as appropriate.
Quickly handle escalated guest disputes in the Sportsbook that cashiers and supervisors are unable to deal with.
Supervise cashiers to ensure accuracy when issuing and redeeming betting slips for guests while providing gaming information and abiding by all gaming regulations/requirements.
Provide outstanding customer service to both guests and employees.
Assist the MOD in maintaining control and authority over the Sportsbook.
Complies a list of key events, comments/complaints from staff and customers for the MOD to send to senior management at the end of the shift.
Proactively reports any IT issues with tills or TVs to the MOD.
Key communicator with the Risk & Trading team, along with the MOD during their shift.
Ensure that all employees perform services and transactions in accordance with company policies and state regulations.
Perform other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience:
High School Diploma and/or Associate’s Degree and/or Bachelor’s Degree with strong mathematical skill set. Must be 21 years of age.
Must have previous supervisor/management experience in a New Jersey sportsbook or equivalent
Must be familiar with New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement regulations, particularly with regards to sportsbook supervision/management
Special Qualifications:
Strong background and in-depth knowledge of the gaming industry and betting process a must.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Interpersonal and communication skills; ability to act professionally and confidently interact with all constituents.
Provides leadership and direction to direct reports.
Demonstrates poise, tact, judgment and diplomacy.
Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays as needed.
