What are the responsibilities and job description for the Legal Assistant position at New Mexico Admin Office of the District Attorneys?
This position is located at the Twelfth Judicial District Attorney’s Office, in Alamogordo, NM.
This position requires knowledge of the criminal justice system, general office equipment; good typing, word processing skills and operational knowledge of spreadsheet programs. It also requires good math, grammar, proof-reading skills and have organizaional skills. As well as good customer relations skills and the ability to communicate effectively and follow directions and policies. The incumbant will be requried to maintain calendars; prepare and maintain case files. As well as perform data entry in the Case Management System (CMS) and also must have the ability and knowledge to merge documents and e-filing. Some preparation and drafting of legal documents my be required.

Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED, plus two (2) years work experience in a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
Three (3) years work experience and/or education in a related field.
Hours of Operation:
Monday through Friday 8-5
Hourly Rate:
$20.33/hr
