What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Desk Medical Receptionist position at New Mexico Foot and Ankle Institute?
New Mexico Foot & Ankle Institute is seeking to add a full-time Receptionist & Front Desk Coordinator to our team. The schedule consists of working Monday-Thursday from 7:45am to 5:00pm, and Friday from 7:45am to 3:00pm.
Some of the Responsibilities entail:
- Welcoming patients and visitors in person or on the telephone
- Optimizing patients' satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room utilization through scheduling appointments
- New patient processing, checking in, and checking out patients
- Collecting copays, deductibles, and other payments as necessary
- Comforting patients by anticipating their anxieties and answering their questions
- Maintaining the reception area
- Ensuring information and accuracy of patient records
- Checking benefits & eligibility and performing chart prep procedures
- Forwarding messages and requests to the appropriate departments
- Maintaining proper professionalism and exceptional customer service at all times
