Warehouse Associate/Forklift Operator

The Warehouse Associate & Forklift Operator is responsible for pulling products to prepare for shipping, loading/unloading delivery trucks, moving finished products to/from pallet racking in refrigerated or frozen storage, removing waste and documenting all activities in a safe and efficient manner. The position requires previous forklift experience, the ability to perform physical job duties and the ability to work in cold storage environment.

This position will report to work in Albuquerque at the food manufacturing facility near Balloon Fiesta Park. A minimum of 1-year of previous food manufacturing experience is preferred. This position works on average 35-40 hours per week on a shift schedule. Night shifts and weekend hours may be required from time to time.

Job Duties

· Safely move inventory and materials across facilities

· Stack and organize large bulk items

· Pull inventory for production needs and shipping

· Prepare shipments for 3rd party pick up

· Load and unload trucks using electric pallet jacks and reach truck

· Accurately log all tasks

· Remove waste from facility daily and assist with other janitorial duties

· Note any damaged materials and request replacements as needed

· Follow all health and safety procedures and regulations

· Lift up to 50 lbs., stand, sit, move, squat, walk, and climb repeatedly with or without accommodations

· Act as a backup where you will cover for our existing driver if they are sick or on vacation.

· Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

· Commitment to quality teamwork

· High school diploma or equivalent

· Ability to read, write and speak English; bilingual in Spanish a plus

· Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.

· Flexibility of schedule to work different shifts and/or potential longer shift hours or overtime as needed

· Minimum 1-year experience operating forklifts

· OSHA approved Forklift Certification/Training

· Ability to perform physical job duties including repeated bending/stooping and lifting a minimum of 50 pounds

· Ability work under special work conditions such as extreme heat or cold. The work environments is chilled to 38 F and requires standing and walking during the full shift.

· Ability to leave cell phones and earbuds in locker during shift.

· Ability to remove all jewelry while working, including piercings.

· Ability to get to work reliably every day.
