The Construction & Maintenance Technician position pays between $43,672 to $54,590, and the Senior Construction & Maintenance Technician position pays between $49,440 to $61,800. Placement is based on skills,experience and education of the successful candidate. This pay range is composed of a current base pay range of $42,400 to $53,000 and $48,000 to $60,000 with 3% supplemental pay, which is administered in accordance with NMGC’s Supplemental Pay Policy.
The successful candidate must live within 30 minutes of the Santa Fe Service Center.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

- Prepare job sites for safe operation
- Frequent work around live gas mains and services performing taps, stop-offs, or tie-ins.
- Excavate site using manual tools, excavating machinery, and shoring following all safety procedures
- Installation and maintenance of steel pipe or non-steel systems Polyethylene (PE) plastic pipe utilizing heat fusion / electrofusion.
- Perform various safety tests, including pressure tests, on gas pipelines.
- Operate and perform preventative and corrective inspections on company vehicles and equipment.
Successful Candidate Must Have :
Working Conditions
Construction and / or field environment. May be required to work overtime and / or be on-call. Will be exposed year-round to outside weather conditions. Personal protective equipment required. Regularly required to stand and walk with the ability to bend, twist, balance, and climb frequently. Occasionally sit to drive vehicles and operate heavy equipment. Manual dexterity is required to lift, carry and / or maneuver up to 80 pounds by reaching, handling, kneeling, and / or crouching.
Salary : $42,400 - $53,000
