POSITION CONCEPT
The Energy Management (EM) Analyst team supports all of Tampa Electric Company’s mandated Conservation programs and communicates the safe and efficient use of energy to our Customers. The EMS Analyst team supports marketing and sales of Residential and Commercial Zap Cap and Renewable Energy Programs, and delivery of Commercial Conservation programs. Responsible to ensure the programs are delivered in accordance with the Florida Administrative Code and in a fashion, that meets Customer and Company expectations.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Required : Physical ability to safely carry and maneuver a thirty-five (35) pound ladder, climb throughout attics to perform audits and inspections in adverse conditions such as superheated attics and outdoors in the sun and rain.
Must pass a pulmonary fitness test and respirator fit test, and wear personal protective equipment.
LICENSES
Required : Must have a valid Florida Driver’s license with a clean driving record; driving record will be validated through an initial driver’s license check and may be validated annually. Must abide by the Company’s Automotive Policy—TECO-CRR-POL-05-5. Will be provided a Company vehicle for business use only; work assignments will cover Tampa Electric’s entire service territory.
LEVEL 1 – ENERGY MANAGEMENT ANALYST ASSOCIATE
This position performs under direct to moderate supervision. In order to develop competence, they will receive training and mentoring from the Supervisor, Energy Analyst team members, Program Coordinators, outside educators, administrative staff and other Company team members.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Training includes classroom study and field application of energy analysis, residential building structure, HVAC system, insulation and duct materials and installation techniques, renewable energy, all conservation practices and measures referenced in the Florida Administrative Code and the residential audit, energy conservation and energy alternatives, acquired knowledge of tariff agreements, regulatory requirements, basic electricity and metering, EECP, SAP, CRM and all Customer Service programs.
Audits include : analysis of current energy usage patterns and habits, educate customers on rates and metering, evaluation of home structure and relative condition of major appliances, entering attics to inspect and qualify HVAC systems, ductwork, and attic insulation. Completes calculations to determine energy costs, educates and recommends conservation programs and practices to customers. Delivers audits in an understandable manner to motivate customers’ participation in conservation programs and implement changes in their energy use habits.
