HOW WILL YOU HELP DRIVE THE FUTURE OF NATURAL GAS? :
In this role, you'll wear many hats. You'll be an employee champion, driving change initiatives and anticipating HR needs to provide valuable services to both leaders and employees. Your efforts will help foster positive work relationships, promote our culture of inclusion and diversity, and boost engagement and productivity.
You'll also be responsible for developing and implementing workforce planning strategies, conducting internal investigations, and coaching leaders to ensure consistent performance management and a positive discipline process.
Additionally, you'll lead the development and rollout of HR programs and initiatives designed to enhance our HR services. You'll ensure that everything we do complies with company policies, laws, regulations, and collective bargaining agreements.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED? :
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources or related field required,
- 5 years of progressive HR business partner experience, preferably in mid / large sized organizations.
- Experience implementing talent and performance management initiatives.
- Ability to develop credibility and rapport with all levels of the organization; strong interpersonal and influencing skills at all levels of management.
- A natural collaborator that excels at balancing the needs of different stakeholders.
- Superior communicator; delivers clear, concise, and influential messaging-both oral and written.
- Comfortable operating in an environment with competing priorities; with a strong aptitude for adaptability and innovative thinking.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with critical attention to detail and follow through on projects to completion.
- Ability to travel within the State of Florida
- Relevant experience will be considered in lieu of some of the requirements.
- Proficient in HR tech platforms

Normal office environment with frequent site visits to Gas operations in Florida. This will require travel throughout the Florida service territories.

STORM DUTY REQUIREMENTS
TECO Energy and its companies serve a role in providing critical services to our community during an emergency. Team members are required to participate in the response / recovery activities related to emergencies / disasters to maintain service to our TECO Energy customers. Team members are required to work in their normal job duties or other assigned activities. Proper compensation will be made in accordance with the company's rules and procedures.
