The TECO Energy Internship & Cooperative Education Program offers college degree-seeking students the opportunity for professional growth while meeting the business needs of the company. The program is an extension of the educational process, providing practical experience to complement formal classroom work. The co-op program recruits students from colleges to give them an opportunity to work in a professional environment related to their field of study.
Position Summary / Details :
Responsible for executing corporate accounting activities related to Tampa Electric Company and its affiliates, including enterprise-wide accounting with a focus in ERP accounting systems, general ledger processing and journal entry creation. Responsibilities include cash clearing processes, specific accounting, and analysis, and supporting other financial and regulatory reporting requirements.

- Creation of Invoices
- Audit Requests
- Assistance with Closeout
- Any ad hoc misc. requests as needed
Physical Location of Co-op : TECO Plaza 702 N Franklin St. Tampa FL
Working Conditions : Mostly in a normal office environment
Preferred Availability : Part – Time (20-30 hours)
QUALIFICATIONS : Education :
The successful applicant should be enrolled in an accredited university as a college undergraduate or a graduate level post-secondary educational program in a related discipline.
